Here are some pics and footage thrown together from Dry Ridge, Frankfort and two new parks: Berea and Lawrenceburg, KY. Berea has a cool faux brick bank/barrier, some stairs, quarters and rails. Very small though. Micah and I liked Lawrenceburg better between the two. L'burg, KY (not to be confused w/Lburg, IN) has 3 long rails, gaps, a pole jam, ledges... a great little street park. The mini was too small though -- and if it is too small for Micah -- be prepared for small. There is less flat then our garage mini. But we will be going back to Lburg soon, and we will definitely hit Berea the next time we go to Knoxville.

The FCA Skate Tour was incredible. We went to Ollies, Louisville, Frankfort, Georgetown, Dry Ridge, Florence, Lawrenceburg and Woodland. The food was great -- Gavin rapping at Cici's was unbelievable, the love, the tightness, the new spots and the new friends and the competitions were all fun. We had a high ollie contest, game of skate and street comp. Orlando donated all the decks (your insane O!). Thanks to O for bringing down Zach Kral, Alec Majerus and Jase. Not only did these guys shred, but they had great attitudes all week. Thanks to Bruce and his boys for coming up from Bowling Green. Also, thanks to Chris Wise and Frankie and everything they did. We need to plan more road trips and explore opportunities to build ramps -- and our faith in God together.

KING OF THE GROMS CANTON, GA PROGRESSIVE SKATEPARK 1/1-1/3 2010
What a trip! Thanks to the Pennimans and congratulations to King William who recovered from the worst slam to win the expert street. We enjoyed making the journey with Shawn "Bubby" Brooks who qualified for beginner street in MN. Micah placed 3rd in expert mini, 6th in expert bowl and 11th in expert street.

We had fun playing rock band, skating the mini, eating dogs and brats at the Cosmic team rider Christmas party at the Wu's. We sang happy birthday to Kenitha, listened to Alan talk about our vision of helping others and becoming better people as we become better skaters. It was fun and this year should be an exciting one for the Cosmic Skate Team.

Thanks to Cosmics for sponsoring Micah. Part of the Cosmic crew (Micah, Eddie, Chris, Shawn) went to Frankfort yesterday to shoot. We hit some street spots and skated the park. Towards the end of the sesh, David suggested a Lexington vs Frankfort game of skate. They played a team game of skate. It didn't look good since Hamm, our strongest ion flatground had gotten knocked out by Bryan Cooke John and the other dude. Frankfort took the first game only getting "A". I told the boys they would have to walk home. The FF guys, classy as usual, said they'd give them a ride home. They ended up playing again, and in a shocker, Eddie, Micah and Hamm took the FF team on "T"! It was a good time. Can't wait to do a tournament game of skate sometime. John informed us that Lawrenceburg, KY's wooden park is projected to be complete in Feb.

Well, the weather was so good that we had to get out. Micah and I hit Dry Ridge, Florence outdoors, Beechmont, then we decided to find the Newport skate spot under the bridge. After driving under a couple of bridges by the levee, we decided to get something to eat. While at the Burger King we ate, about ready to give up on our search when this dude walks in with a beanie, a bunch of tatoos and a skateboard. Yes! I asked him and he knew exactly where the spot was and said that there was a mini ramp too. We were excited to find such a cool place. And Micah enjoyed skating with Johnny who was rather good.

Here is some video from our X Game 09 experience. So much to see! The Disney XD kids got to do a demo on the XD mini park. They also had a signing, plus got to present the medals to the women's vert winners. All got to be forerunners at different events. Micah got to do a 30 sec run before the Park Semi-Finals. He was so nervous, but did great.
